This Privacy Policy explains how BornaliBiz (“BornaliBiz”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the BornaliBiz mobile application (the “App”) and related services (together, the “Service”).

BornaliBiz is a business-management application that provides inventory, accounting, point-of-sale, CRM (customer relationship management), and HR/payroll features for businesses. The App works on a per-company (“tenant”) basis: an authorized user signs in to their company account and works with that company’s business records.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The App is operated by BornaliBiz. For accounts created and managed by a business (your employer or organization), that business is the owner (“controller”) of the business records stored in its account, and BornaliBiz acts as a service provider (“processor”) that hosts and processes those records on the business’s behalf. If you are an employee or user of such a business account, please also refer to your organization’s own privacy practices.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account & authentication data

• Company / tenant name, user name, and password you use to sign in.
• Session tokens and role/permission information used to keep you signed in and to control which features you can access.
• If you enable “Remember me”, your user name and password are stored locally on your device so you don’t have to type them each time.

2.2 Business data you enter

Depending on the features you use, the App stores the business records you create, such as:

• Inventory items, categories, stock levels, barcodes, and serial numbers.
• Sales, purchases, invoices, receipts, and accounting entries (chart of accounts, ledgers, cash/bank books, balance sheet).
• Customer records (CRM): names, contact details, and receivable/transaction history you enter.
• Employee & payroll records (HR): employee details, attendance, and salary/payroll information you enter.
• Company profile information such as business name, address, and logo.

Some of this information (for example, customer or employee names and contact details) is personal data about third parties. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to enter that information into the App.

2.3 Images

• Photos you choose to upload as company logos or product/item images, taken with the camera or selected from your photo library.

2.4 Device & technical data

• Basic device information and app version, used to keep you signed in, check for app updates, and diagnose problems.
• Data cached locally on your device (via local storage) so the App can function.

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.

3. Device permissions and why we use them

Permission	Why the App requests it
Camera	To scan product barcodes and to capture logo/product images. Images are used only for the feature you choose.
Photos / Media / Storage	To let you select an existing image from your device to use as a company logo or product image.
Bluetooth (connect / scan / admin)	To discover and connect to a thermal receipt printer so you can print invoices and receipts.
Location (precise)	Required by Android to scan for and connect to nearby Bluetooth printers. We do not track, store, or share your geographic location, and it is not used for advertising.
Microphone	Requested by a device/printer support library. The App does not record, store, or transmit audio.

Permissions are only requested when needed, and you can grant or revoke them at any time in your device settings. Denying a permission may disable the related feature (for example, barcode scanning or receipt printing).

4. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your company’s records.
• To authenticate you and enforce access permissions.
• To sync your data between your device and our servers.
• To generate reports, invoices, receipts, and other outputs you request.
• To provide customer support and to diagnose and fix technical issues.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service and prevent misuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for third-party advertising.

5. How your data is stored and protected

• Your business data is transmitted to and stored on our secure servers (accessed via https://biz.bornalisoft.com) so it can be available across your sessions and devices.
• Data in transit is protected using encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
• Access to company data is restricted by authentication and role-based permissions.
• Some data is cached locally on your device so the App can function; this is removed when you sign out or uninstall the App.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We only share information in these limited situations:

• Service providers / hosting: infrastructure providers who host our servers and help us operate the Service, under confidentiality obligations.
• Within your organization: other authorized users of your company account may see the business data according to their assigned permissions.
• Legal requirements: when required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. Data retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you or your organization close the account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize the associated data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it to comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

8. Your rights and choices

• Access & correction: you can view and edit most data directly in the App.
• Deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the email below.
• Permissions: you can manage camera, photo, Bluetooth, and location permissions in your device settings.
• Withdraw consent: you may stop using the App and revoke permissions at any time.

9. Children’s privacy

BornaliBiz is a business tool intended for use by businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. International users

Your information may be processed and stored on servers that are located outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to such transfer and processing in accordance with this Policy.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

12. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
